1. Minor Masonry Problems
If any part of your home is made of brick or stone, keep a close eye out for small cracks, and get to grouting when you find them. Small cracks lead to larger ones, which can eventually lead to the whole structure toppling down. Catch those cracks early!
2. Cracking Driveways
It might not seem so bad if you spot a little crack here and there, but water can get in there, freeze, expand, and make the cracks way worse. Patch them up before your driveway starts to turn into little islands of asphalt.
3. Wonky Sliding Doors
If you're having trouble opening your sliding door, grease it up or adjust the tracking right away. It is surprisingly common for these doors to become permanently jammed if a small problem is left unaddressed.
4. Fraying Carpets
To prevent long, unsightly runs, snip those small frays when you first see them.

Secure those wiggly railings before someone in your family goes to lean on the ledge and ends up taking a nasty spill.

If you let the caulk peel away or deteriorate from your tubs, showers, and sinks, you can have some serious water damage on your hands. It's much easier to re-caulk your kitchen or bathroom than it is to repair a leaky ceiling.

Clean your gutters from leaves and debris, or else you can have serious problems when winter rolls around. Water that can't drain will turn into ice, weighing down the gutters and potentially tearing them away from your home.
8. Mysterious Water Marks
If you're noticing patches of water stain on your ceiling, you could be dealing with something much more serious than condensation. If you can't identify a simple fix, like a leaky pipe in the floor above, it's time to get a professional into your home.
9. Worn Hardwood Floors
Every hardwood floor gets a little wear and tear from a family living in the home. However, you should be sure to give them a light sanding and re-finishing whenever you start to notice the scratches accumulating. Before you know it, your floors could be completely destroyed if you don't.
10. Leaky Faucets
Small leaks don't seem like too much of a bother, but the leak will only get worse and harder to fix if you don't address it quickly, before you have to shell out tons of cash for a plumber.
