Two airline employees just celebrated Pride Month in the very best way. Veronica Rojas, a flight attendant, proposed to her pilot girlfriend, Alejandra Moncayo, while in the air.
The couple met two years ago on an Alaska Airlines flight and fell in love.
Veronica says she told the airline about her idea to propose on the "Fly With Pride" flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and they helped to make it happen.
"I've always appreciated Alaska; how deeply involved they are in the LGBTQ+ community," Veronica said. "All the love and support is just super overwhelming and amazing."
The airline posted a video of the special moment when Alejandra proposed. The pair were telling the story of how they met when Alejandra said she'd been practicing her Spanish. She then told her girlfriend how much she loved her before getting down on one knee and handing her a ring.
"It's awesome, I feel very, very loved today. Alaska has always been my number one forever. I can definitely tell how much they care," Alejandra shared.
The entire proposal is simply beautiful, but the fact that it happened on the pride flight, with tons of cheering and support from passengers, made it even more special.
