Danny Keefe is a young boy from Bridgewater, MA, who suffered a brain hemorrhage when he was born. It caused a disease called childhood apraxia of speech, a motor disorder that makes it difficult for him to speak.
But he hasn’t let the disease slow him down from doing things other kids his age do. Little Danny is now the official water boy for the Bridgewater Badgers football team.
“He’s such a good person. He doesn’t let it bother him. He goes on with his day,” the team’s quarterback, Tommy Cooney, told Massachusetts’ Enterprise.
Yet, some children at Mitchell Elementary School started picking on Danny, mostly because he likes to wear a tie and jacket to school.
That’s when his team stepped in to show Danny that they support him no matter what bullies think. They stood up for him in a powerful way, much like the bikers who lent their time to help a bullied girl.
The love they have for Danny is certainly clear, especially when one of the players explains why they did what they did at the :35 mark.
"Before he went to bed, he was crying," his mom said. "He said he felt very loved."
