In 1937, a family with eight children were living in such horrible conditions that family services determined the only course of action was to take them all away from their home as soon as possible.
The eight children said their tearful goodbyes and were ripped away from each other to be placed into separate foster homes. And while they were in new and loving homes, there was always something missing from their hearts.
As the years passed by, each of the siblings lived out their full lives, but back in those days, it was a bit harder to find where people moved and what their names had been changed to. One of the sisters was moved to two foster homes before she finally found her "forever home," therefore her name had changed multiple times!
And slowly, time took its toll on them all. Over the years, six of the siblings died, some of old age and others of disease. But thankfully, two remained, and after some hard work tracking them down, Elizabeth Keller and Shirley Bridge finally got to embrace each other once again.
After 78 years of being apart, a whole lifetime, these two sisters finally got the chance to reunite as a family once again. They showed each other old photographs, and even though Elizabeth's youngest sister Shirley was only a 3-year-old when they were separated, they still remembered each other's faces.
Please watch the beautiful reunion below, and please SHARE this story if you're happy that they're finally a full family once again!
