These French Bulldogs Are The Cutest Pups You’ll Watch Today

Even the most seasoned dog experts have opportunities to be wowed by odd facts about their favorite breeds. Dogs are thought to have begun to be domesticated some 10,000 years ago, according to National Geographic, so there's plenty more to learn!

Best Breed Ever and Animalist have delivered some little known fun facts about the history of all of our favorite dogs — among them pit bulls and dachshunds, to name just a couple. This information helps alleviate any misinformation about dogs and breed stigmas (like "bully breeds," for example), but it also makes for fun trivia. In the following video, Best Breed Ever tackles one of the cutest varieties: the French bulldog.

Clearing up their namesake right off the bat, BBE discloses that French Bulldogs weren't actually French at all to begin with — while they were popularized there, they were originally bred in England. (Who knew?!) Another not-so-known tidbit of useful information is that Frenchies are banned from airlines because of their breathing problems. Also — and this is perhaps my favorite learned fact of all — Frenchies are great with kids! And they can talk, too (just wait until the end of the clip to see what I mean…)!
