Best Friends Of 9 Years Discover They’re Actually Biological Sisters

Julia Tinetti and Cassandra Madison met in 2013. They started out as coworkers at a bar in Connecticut, and they quickly realized they had a lot in common.

Julia and Cassandra learned they were both adopted as babies from the Dominican Republic. Not only that, but they were both raised by a single parent.

Needless to say, the fast friends knew they shared a bond only they could truly understand.

Julia and Cassandra's friendship spanned the next decade, even after Cassandra moved to Virginia.

It wasn't until two years ago that Cassandra decided to learn more about her biological family. She signed up for 23andMe and submitted her saliva for an at-home DNA test.

As a result, Cassandra was able to connect with her birth father — who told her about the "other" daughter he had placed for adoption.

Cassandra couldn't shake the feeling that she knew something to be true … something most people would consider too far-fetched to believe.

She immediately drove from Virginia to Connecticut, where she made Julia take a DNA test of her own.
