Tony's wife, Jenny, gave birth to their first child, Brook, a year after they got married. The couple struggled to conceive a second child and couldn't quite figure out why. They had always wanted a big family, so they decided to become foster parents. They would go on to adopt three beautiful children. When Jenny found out she was pregnant, 10 years after they began trying to conceive, she was shocked. The family was so grateful for their new son, Gideon. Then the unthinkable happened. One day, Tony noticed Gideon's head was tilted to the side, when Tony used his finger to lift it up, Gideon began to scream. They knew they had to take him to the hospital. Gideon had a brain tumor.
The 1-year-old had to endure a nine-and-a-half-hour surgery. After the surgery, his body began to fail. That's when Jenny had a vision of angels surrounding Gideon, who was happy, smiling, and had a full head of hair. This gave Jenny a sense of peace as her son spent the next 30 days recovering. But the ordeal wasn't over: Gideon was diagnosed with brain cancer. After 30 days, Gideon began chemo. His white blood cell count was zero. Gideon would need 500 to go home. Then it happened, the unexplainable. After just eight hours, Gideon's white blood cell count went from zero to 7,000.
