Michelle Huntley and her husband were expecting their second baby. However, it came at a bit of an inopportune moment.
On Sunday morning, the Milwaukee mother went into labor. The baby was ready, but Mom and Dad weren’t. They didn’t have time to get to the hospital.
Michelle had to give birth right then and there. That’s when grandma kicked into high gear. The former labor and delivery nurse guided Michelle through the process right there in the family’s parked car in the garage. That’s right — grandma delivered her own granddaughter.
The healthy 9 lb. 2 oz. baby girl was brought into the world by her own grandmother. But there is even more to this story, the little one was born on Michelle’s birthday.
Sometimes life comes around full circle. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this anomaly. Rheannon Morby, her husband, and her baby all share the exact same birthday and it was totally unplanned too.
All we can say is thank goodness, Michelle’s mother had that previous experience. What an incredible coincidence. The family was brought to Froedtert Hospital after the delivery. Mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.
