Nathan is only 19 years old, but he's already well aware of what a struggle life can be. At age 5, Nathan was diagnosed with Juvenile Chronic Arthritis. Days later, he lost his vision also.
Fast forward 12 years and 17-year-old Nathan became overwhelmed by the struggles of life, dealing with blindness and limited mobility. After someone suggested a guide dog, Nathan met Hudson and instantly cried. He knew life wouldn't be as difficult as it had been for as long as he could remember. He knew he was saved.
Today, the blind young man has confidence to go outside, be social and take on the world. There is no doubt that his guide dog changed his life around. "I can't believe I’ve now got my independence back," Nathan told The Guide Dog Associate for the Blind. "Amazing people like you have changed my life forever, people I have never even met, people I can never thank enough, you have given me Hudson."
