Dogs, as we all know, are very smart creatures. They're capable of learning so much, from simple tricks like "shake" to how to find skiers lost and buried deep in the snow.
How much a dog utilizes that clever noggin of his or hers all depends on the owner, and of course on the dog's personality. Some dog owners don't feel that their dogs are yearning to learn how to run an agility course… some breeds just don't need that type of stimulation. These dog owners probably stick to some simple tricks along with "Please don't chew up all of my shoes." Other owners, though, might decide to put their pup through the training to become a certified rescue dog.
However, there are some pups that like to live on the edge. Despite all of their training, they still decide to go on and sleep on the bed, or to rummage through the garbage when no one's looking.
When this smart pup, Boomer, did something he certainly wasn't supposed to do, he definitely knows exactly what he did wrong, and that he's in trouble with Mom.
Emotional intelligence is one of the highest forms of intelligence out there, and this pup sure has it!
