1 Violin And 1 Piano Transform ‘Hallelujah’ Into Symphony Of Sounds

You've heard this song a thousand times, but never quite like this…

Award-winning violinist Rob Landes and pianist Aubry Pitcher perform an incredible live looping violin/piano cover of the popular song "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. At first, the piano and violin create two simple instrumental parts — but as the song builds, Rob uses his foot to control a looping pedal to create layers of harmonies and melodies that fill the room with gorgeous sounds. It's incredible these two managed to pull this performance off in one solid take, and with such grace and ease.

The lyrics to "Hallelujah" are so beautiful and intricate, yet Rob and Aubry convey the lyrics without singing any words at all.

Rob Landes is an award-winning violinist from Orem, UT who first picked up the instrument at the age of 3. Rob was awarded full scholarships to attend Brigham Young University and Rice University where he earned a Bachelor's in Music and Master’s in Music, respectively. While studying at Rice, Rob began covering rock and pop music. After he graduated, he bought a looper pedal and an amp which he uses to create intricate and stunning arrangements of today and yesterday's most popular music.

What a magical rendition of an already stunning song. Please enjoy, and SHARE it with your friends on Facebook!
