Elmir and Elise were living in a junkyard, fending for themselves and sleeping amid broken-down cars. When Hope For Paws arrived to save them, Elise was very fearful, and climbed into a tiny space to try and get away from the things she had learned to fear: people.
After patiently working to get a leash around her, Hope For Paws was finally able to pull her out of her hiding place. And even though she struggled the entire time, as soon as she was in the arms of someone who wanted to love her, she calmed right down.
Elmir was much easier to save, as he came right over to make sure his sister was okay. Once both dogs arrived at the shelter and were given a bath, their natural happy personalities started to show, and today they are energetic, friendly dogs looking for a forever home!
