Alaskan State Trooper Terrence Shanigan was driving down a dark rural road one night when he spotted Buddy the German Shepard. For some reason that Shanigan can't quite explain, he decided to follow Buddy as he ran ahead of him. Turn after turn, Shanigan kept following, until he came across something that completely surprised him: A house, in the middle of nowhere, that had bust into flames.
Buddy's owner had been working in his shed when a spark suddenly caught fire. As Buddy's owner fled with his dog, he said out loud "we need to get help," and with that, Buddy was off.
This story is truly amazing, but it shows that not only do our dogs truly love us, but that they have the creative thinking to allow to problem solve. Buddy saw Shanigan in his police car, and just knew that he would be able to help, and did everything he could to lead him exactly where he needed to go.
What an amazing dog!
