Sometimes, when we're down on our luck, we don't just need tangible things like food or money. We also need a human connection that can make a world of difference: this comes in the form of love, support, and friendship.
But why not take it a step further, and help others connect with the divine?
Believing that there is a higher being who cares about us and only wants the best for us can help us through some very hard times. Sometimes, all it takes is some prayer or meditation to encourage you to get on your feet and try to make a difference in your world.
Officers are known to perform random good deeds on the road, and it's unsurprising that these highway patrol cops stopped to hand out food to the homeless.
But it's truly remarkable that they led a short and simple prayer with the men and women in need before handing out the food.
In this moment, you know that they're not giving them sustenance in the form of food, but emotional and spiritual support as well! And who knows? This may have been exactly what some of them needed, after spending time hungry and on the streets.
