Heroes Climb Deep Into A Sewer To Rescue A Scared Puppy Living There

No animal should ever have to live like this, no matter where life has taken them.

There are so many stray dogs in the United States that it's impossible to even estimate the numbers. In highly-populated places like Los Angeles County, dogs will drink "water" that drips from air conditioner vents, eat scraps of rotten food from the garbage and find shelter anywhere they can. Eldad Hagar and his team of angels at Hope For Paws do the best job they can, finding these homeless, hopeless dogs, like this father and his three pups who were living in a scrap yard, and giving them a second chance.

When Eldad and his team recently got the call about a dog living somewhere in Los Angeles' sewer system, they knew it wasn't going to be an easy day. However, nothing could have prepared them for how difficult trapping and rescuing this tiny, terrified stray would be. When they first found the chihuahua pup, she was sleeping in a desolate area by the side of a dangerous road, with no hope in sight. The brave, selfless heroes followed the dog, who likely has never had any contact with humans, into the scary sewer where she was living and were able to safely capture her.

Now that this dog is cleaned up and has a new home, her story can serve as great inspiration for anyone who wants to help dogs in need!
