Many singers have captivated audiences by performing religious songs, whether it’s on their own or with a group. The performances are sometimes so beautifully done that they can even be a treat for those who aren’t religious.
For example, when Celine Dion joined Canadian Tenors on stage to sing “Hallelujah” on the Oprah Winfrey Show, they created a beautiful duet. And, Carrie Underwood blew everyone away when she performed “Something In The Water” at the Country Music Awards in 2014.
What this singer does in the video below, however, is quite different than the other performances I’ve seen.
Sam Robson, a vocalist from London, recorded himself singing a harmonious rendition of “I Need Thee Every Hour.” Robson performs every lyric, adlib, and harmony in acapella and without the help of any other singer.
He proves that it’s a solo project by showing nine mini videos of himself singing each element of the song and combined into one.
“I need Thee every hour, in joy or in pain. Come quickly and abide, my life is in vain,” sings Robson who is known for his acapella performances.
Just wait till you hear the note he hits at the 3:12 mark!
