Eddie Gordon is a high school student with Down Syndrome, who has assisted his school's Timberline Wolves baseball team as batboy for the past two years. On Senior Night, the team and their opponents scheduled a very special moment before the big game to let "Fast Eddie" have his shining moment.
The team let him begin the game in the leadoff position, and after he made a contact pitch, he rounded the bases and scored! His "home run" was celebrated by his team congratulating him. My heart melted for this amazing young man! This is what team spirit and sportsmanship is ALL about! Please SHARE to show others this shining example of compassion.
