Rachel’s second grade class became the backdrop of an unforgettable proposal when her boyfriend, Austin, decided to pop the question during a classroom reading session. As the students gathered for what they thought would be routine story time, little did they know they were about to witness a real-life fairy tale.
As the story reached its climax, Austin seamlessly transitioned from reading to proposing, catching Rachel completely by surprise. When asked in an interview with Inside Edition why he wanted to propose in front of all the students, Austin stated, “It’s hard to say no in front of 25 screaming second graders!” Rachel said, “I was so shocked my mind went a little blank because I was like what in the world just happened!”
