Jack Nicholson’s Daughter Is All Grown Up And Making Movies Of Her Very Own

Born on April 22, 1937, in Neptune City, New Jersey, Jack Nicholson was raised under rather unusual circumstances: The actor grew up believing that his grandmother was his mother and that his mother was his older sister. He didn't learn the truth until he was in his late 30s, a revelation that he has since deemed a "pretty dramatic event."

In the '50s, Jack decided to skip college and try his hand at acting. He landed his first role in The Cry Baby Killer, a 1958 low-budget horror flick, getting his big break a decade later with the release of Easy Rider. After that, things took off quickly for Jack career-wise. He went on to score parts in multiple Oscar-winning movies, such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and became a household name for his now-(in)famous roles in 1980's The Shining and 1989's Batman.

After his brief marriage to actress Sandra Knight in the '60s, Jack has been linked romantically to multiple other women, including three actresses. He's had five children between his former partners. Lorraine Nicholson is his youngest daughter.

All of Jack's kids have dabbled in film, and Lorraine is no exception.

Jack and Sandra have one daughter together, Jennifer, born in 1963.

After the couple split in 1968, Jack entered an on-again, off-again relationship with Anjelica Huston starting in the early 1970s. During one of their “off” periods, he had a second daughter, Honey Hollman, with Danish model Winnie Hollman.

Actress Susan Anspach has claimed that her son, Caleb, is also Jack’s child, although he hasn’t confirmed that rumor.

In 1989, Jack began a relationship with actress and model Rebecca Broussard. They were both involved in the films The Two Jakes (1990), Man Trouble (1992), and Mars Attacks! (1996).

Jack and Rebecca split in 1994, when Lorraine was 4 years old and Raymond was 2.

Now 31, Lorraine has grown into a successful actress and filmmaker in her own right.

Lorraine landed her first on-screen role at age 13 as an extra in her father’s movie Something’s Gotta Give (2003). Three years later, she played young Samantha Newman in the Adam Sandler-led film Click.

Lorraine’s first major movie role was in 2011’s Soul Surfer. She played famous surfer Bethany Hamilton’s best friend, Alana Blanchard.

In 2012, Lorraine graduated from Brown University with a degree in literary arts, which she pursued in the hopes of becoming a screenwriter. In the years since, she’s been hard at work, accomplishing her goal.

In 2013, Lorraine wrote, produced, and directed The Instant Message, a short coming-of-age drama. She followed up that project with a second short film, This Magic Moment, which she both directed and wrote.

Last year, Lorraine released an 18-minute teen drama titled Life Boat. The short film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was deemed “tense and engrossing.”

Lorraine’s on-camera work has been as consistent as her behind-the-camera gigs. She recently starred in a 2016 film called Anonymous in which she played an expert hacker.

"I feel that in the film industry, especially as a woman, it's really important to make your own luck – and create projects to give other people really strong opportunities as well as yourself," Lorraine told Zimbio.

Lorraine, now 32, has also dabbled in the music industry, directing music videos for artists like K.Flay and Lil Buck.

Lorraine has clearly inherited her father's impressive work ethic!
