Every pet owner's worst nightmare is finding out their pet has been injured, or worse, killed. We all fear the knock on the door or phone call telling us our beloved pet has been hit by a car.
So when people on the highway noticed that a dog had been hit by two different cars, they sprung to action, rescuing Jack and getting him off the highway.
They were terrified that Jack had died, but somehow he had miraculously survived.
"Jack was hit by two different cars in one day," his owners explain. "The first wasn't able to avoid him, sending him flying across the road. Jack was left helpless in the middle of the highway, unable to move.
"The second vehicle hit him from a different angle but somehow didn't kill him. People jumped across the fence, putting their own life in danger, and managed to get him out of the road before he was hit again. This is his incredible story."
The video his owners shared covered six months of time — from the moment Jack was rescued from the highway to his final recovery.
When we first see Jack, he's injured — wrapped in a blanket and lying on the ground. We see him later at the vet, struggling to walk with multiple fractures in his legs. Everyone told his owners they should put Jack down; they said he was too old and injured to be worth saving.
But six months later, you'd never know Jack has suffered such a horrific injury.
