Man Finds Classified Papers In Green Dumpster, Can’t Believe His Eyes When He Starts Reading

Jeff Strum of Orlando, Florida, never expected one of his Tuesday nights to turn out like this.

He was searching around for scrap metal when got a hunch to look inside a green dumpster.

In the video below, posted on March 1, 2017, Jeff explains that "something told me to look to my right in the dumpster right there." It was then that he stumbled upon some valuable pieces of paper.

Jeff discovered countless financial documents, all bearing personal information belonging to strangers. Among names and social security numbers, Jeff says that the papers included "emails, phone numbers, dates of birth, child's birth, you name it… bank information, how much they had in the bank, how much they put in the bank."

With all of these financial documents at his fingertips, Jeff had the opportunity to do a lot of illegal cheating, but he chose not to. He says, "This is very valuable because I could've been a criminal, but I'm not and I said, 'I'm going to call somebody,' and I called Channel 9."

Jeff alerted the police about the financial documents and told the Channel 9 news team his story, hoping that the careless disposal of personal information like this would never happen again.

All of those people's identities could have been stolen in less than a few hours, but luckily, a caring man name Jeff Strum was there to find their papers.
