Plow Driver Finishes Overnight Shift, Never Expects To See 4-Year-Old Cross The Road In A Onesie

Joey Blaskowski was just finishing up his overnight shift as a plow driver when he spotted something shocking at a street intersection.

In the video below, posted on February 3, 2017, Joey points to a busy street behind him.

"I thought I saw a dog and it happened right here," he explains. "He was running through the intersection right there, the road, and I just saw that it was a kid so I pulled over right away. And then I could hear his wet little footprints."

Joey approached the little boy, who was wearing only onesie pajamas in the cold.

It became clear that the little boy had been searching through the streets to locate his mom, who left him with an older sibling at 3 a.m. so she could make a quick trip to the store. Joey could see the 4-year-old was lost and in need of a hero to bring him home.

He sat the onesie-wearing boy in his car so he could warm up and immediately called the police.

"I don't know, I just feel like anybody would do this in any situation if you see a little kid running around at three in the morning. I mean, hopefully you'd call the police to help find his mother and parents, you know," Joey says with modesty.

During this time, the boy's mother returned home and called the police the second she realized her son was gone. Thankfully, the authorities were already on the case.

As they waited for police, Joey and the little boy in his onesie took a selfie together to show that he was doing OK and that everything would be alright.

"Me and him had a good conversation," Joey continues. "I got to know him pretty well in that 10 to 15 minutes and yeah, he's a cool guy."
