Winner Of ‘The Voice’ Returns To Sing ‘O Holy Night,’ Then Judges Leap To A Standing Ovation

There’s nothing like listening to Christmas music around the holidays — especially when it’s an angelic voice singing live to the rest of the world.

Although I’m one of those people who starts listening to Christmas tunes in September, I think we can all agree that it’s one of the most wonderful things about building up to December 25, and it’s safe to say this family feels the same way.

Singing shows usually use this time of year to show live performances, featuring artists singing the classics everyone knows and loves. The Voice is no exception.

They decided to bring Season 9 winner Jordan Smith back to the stage that made him famous. He returned after his victorious year to perform the classic “O Holy Night” in front of the judges and America.

And boy, did he not disappoint.

Smith starts the song off with the lights down low, surrounded by sparkling crystal-like decorations dangling from the ceiling. And as the song goes on, Smith starts getting louder and louder, hitting the high notes he’s known for as he goes.

This song may have been done over and over again by various artists, but Jordan’s version surely impresses the judges — just like he always does. Their reactions at the end of the song show their approval, as they all stand up and smile from ear to ear.

Does Jordan Smith’s version of this Christmas classic hit an emotional chord? Let us know in the comments below, and please SHARE with your family and friends on Facebook!
