During the "blind auditions", contestants sing to the audience while the judges have their backs turned to them, judging them solely on their singing ability. When 18-year-old Julia Van Der Toorn auditioned, she barely even started singing before all FOUR of the judges pressed their buzzers to coach her. She's THAT good.
In this amazing video, Julia performs a beautiful cover of "New York State of Mind" by Alicia Keys. She impressed one judge so much after only a few seconds that he jumped out of his chair and laid down flat on the floor, holding his heart.
It's impossible not to fall in love with this talented teen. Her voice is so developed beyond her 18 years and as you can see in this performance, she has exactly what it takes to be a star.
