Kaley Cuoco was "terrified" of flying with her 9-month-old daughter Matilda, but she and her partner tried to be prepared when they took her on a flight for Thanksgiving. The Flight Attendant star, 38, thought it would be a good idea to pack a sound machine, since it's the only thing that helps Matilda sleep.
But the whole experience showed the new mom how hard it can be to deal with people who say something negative about your kid. Another passenger was not happy that Kaley and her partner Tom Pelphrey brought their baby with them. Kaley shared the story with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
When she told Jimmy that she decided to bring the sound machine with her, he joked that a plane is kind of like a sound machine. She agreed — planes are loud, and she could hardly tell the difference between the sound of the sound machine and the plane. However, she put the sound machine against her daughter's ear while they were on the plane in attempt to get her to fall asleep.
It was a real challenge though. Matilda was crying a lot. When she finally fell asleep, Kaley and Tom were so relieved — until a flight attendant came up to them and asked them to turn the sound machine off.
The flight attendant explained to them that another passenger wanted them to turn it off. The actress said that she was shocked that another passenger would do this, and she could also sense that Tom felt the same way.
"I can feel Tom be like, 'Hey, ask the passenger if she wants to hold our screaming child when we turn it off,'" she said, speaking about the moment when they were asked to turn the sound machine off.

Turns out, the passenger who made the complaint was the woman sitting right in front of them — and she made her frustration with the baby known to the couple after the plane landed.
At that point, Matilda was happy and laughing, and the passenger who had complained turned around and said, "Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile.”
Kaley couldn't believe it. "It was in that moment where I understood why women end up on Dateline," she joked.
Jimmy also couldn't believe that the passenger would get so upset with a baby on a plane, but Kaley pointed out that she has seen people on social media complaining about babies on planes. “Justice for babies — this is ridiculous," she said.
