They Tell Grandpa To Act The Age He Feels. What He Does Leaves Them Stunned!

What happens when you ask someone how old they are versus how old they feel? You get some surprising answers. But what happens when you ask grandpa to act in a way that represents how he feels? You get some surprising movements.

Kiehl's new campaign #ActAnyAge asks real people to act their age, if they could choose the age they feel connected to.

After all, age ain't nothing but a number. Joy Lofthouse is a 92-year-old pilot and makes no apologies about it.

"You find people and ask them how old they feel, and give them a very simple vehicle to express it, and they can. It's a genuine thing," said Evan Slater, who helped create the campaign.

Kiehl's campaign was inspired by a few men of the baby boom era who were asked to relive their greatest years in their 70s.

According to Fast Company:

“In 1981, Harvard psychology professor Ellen Langer set up a short but classic experiment: For five days, a group of men in their seventies left their homes and temporarily lived in a house set up to look like 1959, with dated magazines, dated music, and Ed Sullivan on a black and white TV.”

The men were asked to act as though they were 22 years younger. You’re not going to believe what happened!

After Langer conducted tests the men were found to  have, "better flexibility, dexterity, and even slightly better eyesight." Acting younger actually made their bodies function younger.

I think after you watch this video you'll feel a little bit younger, too.

SHARE if this made you feel good.
