Hannah Summers lost her mom, Peggy, to kidney cancer on October 31, 2017. The next day, she decided to share a heartwarming letter her mom wrote to her just four months earlier, fearing a surgery would go wrong.
"I wasn't gonna share this on here, but the more I read it the more I feel like I want to," Hannah wrote on her Facebook post. "I'm never going to take this past year and all the memories we made together for granted. I love you momma."
Since posting the letter, thousands of strangers have sent their condolences to Hannah and also opened up about losing their own mothers. Many have said how much the letter helped them through their own losses. A few celebrities even wrote to Hannah.
The letter is full of motherly advice and praise for her daughter's accomplishments.

Peggy passed away from kidney cancer. Before her death, Peggy left letters for each of her children to read after she passed away.

Hannah uploaded the letter to Twitter and Facebook on November 1, 2017.
She wrote:
before my mom passed she wrote us all letters. this is mine. please hug your parents a little closer and never take them for granted because you never know when you could lose them. I love you momma.
The tweet has received more than 280,000 likes and over 1,000 comments.

The letter touched the hearts of thousands around the world.
The letter contained guidance to Hannah as well as a reminder to her daughter about just how proud she is of all of her accomplishments.
"Please don't be mad; bad things happen in life and we have to learn to deal with it no matter how much it hurts," Peggy wrote. "I want you to be happy and use the gifts God has given you."

Hannah's mom ended the letter saying she will always be looking after her and signed it "Mom."

Her mom's letter quickly pulled at the heartstrings of people all over the world — many of whom have also lost their moms to cancer.
"She's inspiring so many people," Hannah wrote on Facebook. "It's amazing to see how many lives her words have touched."

One Twitter user named Jerry was so touched by the letter that he offered to help Hannah out with bills from school.

Even Hollywood actress Patricia Arquette gave her condolences to Hannah. As it turns out, Peggy was a huge fan of hers.

Hannah was completely overwhelmed by the amount of support and love she received from strangers all over the world.
"I've had so many people from all over the world message me saying they're praying for me or sharing their own stories of losing a parent," she wrote on Twitter. "Thank you thank you thank you. My heart is so full. It's amazing to see how many lives mom's words have touched."

Hannah will cherish her mom's letter for the rest of her life and is nothing but grateful for the time she got to spend with her.
