Levy Randolph had no idea that when he was asked to be on a Future Farmers of America float at the Rose Bowl in 2010, he would meet the love of his life. But he did.
He and now-wife Tiffany Rogers met when they were both placed on the float, but nothing happened then. As luck would have it, they kept running into each other at different FFA conferences, and in 2011, they finally exchanged numbers.
After that, the two started dating long distance, since both were still in college, he in California and she in Michigan. And even with the distance, the two knew they had an undeniable connection.
So when they talked about getting married, it came as no surprise. And luckily for Tiffany, Levy had been preparing for the day he would propose since he was 12 years old.
In all, Levy took 17 months to plan the elaborate proposal, and it went off without a hitch on October 29, 2014.
The day begins with Levy telling Tiffany she should come to California for a military event for his dad so she wouldn’t suspect anything. But then she’s met at her door by her best friends and given a card, written by Levy.
She’s told that she’s being taken away to be pampered, all while riding in a limo. And as she poses for pictures with friends, more friends pop out from the back of the limo to surprise her.
Then they’re whisked off to have their nails done, followed by a relaxing lunch. And then, as any amazing guy would, Levy sends Tiffany off to go shopping, but she has no idea that she’s actually buying the dress that she will be proposed to in.
After a few more clues and another car ride, Tiffany is blindfolded and met at the limo door by someone she knows very well: her dad. He walks her down through the Rose Bowl stadium tunnel, and when they reach the field she’s finally allowed to take her blindfold off.
And when she does, she sees Levy waiting for her, and he has a question to ask her. Of course she says yes.
