When the police raided a home in Queen Creek, Arizona, they never expected to find a dog walking toward them.
In the video below, posted on April 24, 2017, the police enter the dark home with flashlights and search around the first room. That's where they stumble across a cocker spaniel covered in matted fur, struggling to walk.
The 12-year-old canine was starving in this house, and it's clear she needs someone to help her out of her current plight. The police quickly take her away from the home and give her a second chance at a good life.
The cocker spaniel is brought to the Palm Glen Animal Hospital, where a group of dedicated vets check her health.
After seeing her overgrown fur, they work to transform her appearance.
The team decides to name her Lillie. She sits patiently as the vets cut away her long matted locks, leaving her looking like a much healthier — and happier — dog.
Now, she is able to walk freely without anything holding her back — or weighing her down.
Check out the video below to see what this rescued cocker spaniel looks like after her transformation. You won't want to miss the end result!
Finally, please SHARE if you're glad the police saved Lillie when they did, and if you hope she'll find a forever home soon!
