Magician Reads The Entire Audience’s Minds, Then Reveals How He Tricked Them

Consider Harry Connick Jr. spooked. The Late Late Show host James Corden brought on Israeli mentalist Lior Suchard to impress the guests and audience with a few tricks.

Suchard first guesses two of Harry's pin numbers. But that wasn't what had Harry running off the stage not once, but twice.

Suchard told actress Alice Eve that he could read her mind. First, he gave the audience some examples of simple pictures she could draw: a superman logo, a cross, a mountain, and a bunny rabbit.

Then he drew a picture of a hand in a circle with two rectangles next to it. Suchard didn't show Alice the photo. Then he told her to draw a picture without him seeing it.

When Alice revealed her picture she showed that it was a hand with two candle sticks — nearly identical to what Suchard had drawn. That's when Harry ran into the audience the first time.

Next, Suchard ran the same trick on the audience, the band, and James Corden himself. Each person in the room drew a picture concealing it. Then finally, Suchard revealed his picture: a star inside of a circle. Then the entire audience, the band, and James Corden revealed their pictures: a star inside of a circle.

Harry leaped behind the stage at this one! But fear not, there's no black magic here. Suchard was kind enough to reveal how he did the whole thing. He wasn't reading any one's mind, in fact, he was subtly telling everyone what to do.

The superman logo was an "S," the cross was a, "T," the mountain was an "A," and the bunny rabbit turned upside down was an, "R." The subtle imagery was enough to make everyone think of the exact same thing.
