Just one week after rescuing a poor fox cub stuck in a fence, the wonderful folks at Wildlife Aid are saving the day once again! This time, they were called out to rescue two baby cubs who were stuck at the bottom of a storm drain.
The homeowner discovered the babies after hearing their cries in the back of her garden. She wasn't sure where the babies had come from, but if left alone, the foxes would have drowned in the drain after a heavy rainfall.
Simon, the rescuer from Wildlife Aid, was called to rescue the babies. (The Wildlife Aid Foundation is a charity dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned animals — recently helping this poor deer who was trapped.)
He was able to safely help the animals, but according to the Wildlife Aid Foundation, "The best and, sadly, the only way to save them was to bring them back to the center to join our group of orphan cubs. They have now settled down in our orphan shed with the other foxes."
It's important to note that Wildlife Aid has years of experience with rescuing hurt and injured animals. If you ever find an injured animal in distress, you should contact a local wildlife rescue or animal control center first before attempting to rescue the animal yourself.
