When Alice decided to raise her kids on her own, she only wanted to give them the best life possible. After her separation from her husband, she found herself left with all of the parenting responsibilities, but instead of feeling overwhelmed or scared, she welcomed the opportunity to love her kids fiercely.
Alice met her ex-husband Mark in college. The pair had an exciting courtship, but after they got married and had three kids together, things soon fell apart. They fought all the time and didn’t want their three kids to grow up in that kind of household.
The separation found Alice and her three kids moving to a small town in Oregon to be closer to her job as a personal assistant. Alice’s twins, Kayla and Brian, appeared to be adjusting well. It was Alice’s toddler, Gene, that caused her a great deal of worry and heartache as he was diagnosed with leukemia.
A typical day for Alice and her little ones included dropping off the twins at school and taking little Gene to medical appointments or day care. When the school day was over, a babysitter would bring Gene to meet the twins and stay there until Alice arrived home from work.
During the evenings, Alice started to notice that Kayla and Brian continually kept to themselves. She would always find them together in their bedroom speaking in hushed tones. She wasn’t sure what was going on as she had also noticed that they had brought little Gene in on their antics, so she installed a camera to find out the truth.

One night after setting up the camera, Alice was lounging in bed with her laptop trying to see if she could spot what was going on with her twins and Gene. As she watched the camera feed, she saw the twins get out of bed and head to the kitchen.
