At around 8:45 a.m. on November 25th, Nick decided to surprise his girlfriend, Victoria, with one of the best proposals I’ve ever seen.
Being that Victoria is a school teacher, Nick thought it would make sense to propose to her somewhere that means a lot to her.
At Victoria’s school on Fridays and the last days before holiday weekends, the school plays a fun game where a mystery voice either recites a poem, reads a story, or sings a song on the loudspeaker.
The first classroom to guess correctly and call in to the main office wins a prize trophy for the week.
Being that the surprise speaker is usually a staff member or someone from the faculty, it made the surprise factor even more heightened than usual. You can tell from Victoria’s reaction that she was shocked when she realized it was her boyfriend reciting the poem that morning. It’s not until he mentions her name that she realizes who it is, though.
Nick had been coordinating with the principal and music teacher for over month in order to make sure that his intricately planned proposal would run smoothly.
When Nick finally walks down to her classroom to propose to Victoria in front of all of her students and fellow teachers, the music teacher plays “Grow Old With You” over the loudspeaker. Nick's surprise proposal truly made it a day to remember.
