Jack Benny and Lucille Ball worked together quite a few times, and whenever you saw that they were about to perform as a team, you knew you were in for something really special. So, when Lucy appeared on an episode of the Jack Benny Program, it's no surprise that she totally stole the show!
The set up is simple enough, Lucy almost destroys Benny's violin when she comes close to sitting on it, but at the last second he manages to stop her. She stands up, grabs the violin and starts to "play" a passionate and perfectly impressive tune.
It's obvious that she's just miming the playing of her song, but it's so hilarious to see Benny's reaction to her "talent." It's really amazing to watch two talented comedians and performers working together like this. This will bring you back to when talent actually meant something, and you didn't have to make dirty jokes to get a cheap laugh!
