Man Proposes To His Officer Girlfriend With The Help Of A News Station

Douglas County Deputy Christy Odum comes from a family of officers. Her mother and two of her sisters are also cops — she herself has been in the force for an astounding 14 years.

A newscaster and a film crew from KMGH chose to do a story on Christy and her family — at least that's what she thought. They rode in her patrol car for the day, and interviewed her on the job. But the deputy had no idea that the station, as well as her boss, had been in contact with her boyfriend, Kurt Klewin. Kurt came up with a master plan: he wanted to surprise Christy with a marriage proposal!

On the road, she received a call about a motorist who needed assistance. She responded to the call, not knowing who this driver was. But as you may have guessed, it was Kurt, who had rented a different car for the occasion. He didn't want her to recognize him right away!

But when she approached the car to investigate, Christy had no idea that she would see him hop out of the parked vehicle. She was overwhelmed by the surprise, and when he got down on one knee? She was almost speechless!

Take a look at the clip below to see the beautiful moment, caught on camera by KMGH.
