As teenagers and young adults, many of us held jobs we didn't particularly like. I know I did!
Not all of us are suited to work in every industry, and if a job makes us unhappy enough, we may as well quit and find another one.
Other times, jobs are just inconvenient: maybe you're working too many hours, or maybe even not enough. Everyone has their own way of giving their two weeks notice!
But one young man found a funny way to let his employer know that he didn't want to be a part of his business anymore. Alex Lowther was working at a pizza joint, and he felt like he wasn't getting enough work. So he picked up some shifts at a local brewery. The second job soon became his primary focus, and he decided that it was time to leave the pizza joint.
But because of his long relationship with the owner, he wanted to part ways in a humorous way. So he left him a sympathy card! He chose a couple of simple key words to send a message.

When he started getting more work there, he decided that it was time to part ways with the owner of the pizza place.
After much thought, he came up with the perfect way to say goodbye: in a humorous way!
He left a note for the owner and all the other employees announcing his two weeks notice.
He says that he found the card in the "sympathy aisle," too!
The note read: "Even though you knew this time would come, there’s no way to prepare your heart for such a loss. I am so sorry." Alex signed and dated it, like he would any letter!
