When Davis Wahlman walked through the front door of his Seattle home Monday evening, he had no idea he was about to encounter something most people have nightmares about.
On Monday, July 18, he pulled up to his house and noticed some of the lights were on inside. He thought it was a little strange, but dismissed any crazy thoughts and went about his evening.
But in the middle of the night, a noise coming from his attic jolted him from his sleep!
"I hear rummaging around up above me, which I know is the attic. And so, I'm like, 'That's kind of weird,' Davis explains in the video below.
So he headed upstairs to investigate. A light was coming from his office, so he decided to knock on the door. Then he heard a woman's voice: "Jimmy? Is that you, Jimmy?"
Davis stayed remarkably calm. "No, it's not Jimmy," he replied. "Who is this and why are you in my house?"
As the door slowly opened, Davis saw the face of a woman he'd never met before. The woman told him that it was her house and that a man named Jimmy told her she could live there. On top of that, she had been living in Davis' house for the past three days!
He tried to keep the woman inside his house until the police arrived, but she managed to escape. He still hasn't been able to figure out how the woman got into his home, but he has since changed his lock, so hopefully he won't be having any more surprise visitors.
