Incredible Video From NASA Shows What A Martian Sunset Looks Like

Walking on a beach, snuggling near the ocean, watching blue sunsets; these are just a few of the things people love to do!

If you're a fan of any kind of sunset you should definitely watch this video, released by NASA. The space agency uploaded a vine showing the sun disappear behind the Martian horizon. Splicing together a series of photo from the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity, the scientists at NASA thought it would be a great idea to add in a sombre version of "Deck the Halls."

Something about this video certainly puts everything into perspective; it's funny to think that there's a huge orbiting body, essentially our Earth's sister, out there, 140 million miles away.

Mars is so far away and is so different from Earth. Our planet is teaming with life; Mars is a dead husk. We're green and blue, and Mars is a drab red. There are so many differences between our two planets, yet at the end of the day we share the same sunset.

It's certainly beautiful, and hopefully one day, humans will be able to experience that same sunset from the surface of Mars.

If you were ever given the opportunity to visit the red planet would you? Make sure to let us know in the comments below!
