Maryland Woman Sets Home On Fire, Then Grabs A Chair To Sit Down And Watch It Burn

A Maryland woman with mental health struggles was taken into custody after a shocking house fire in 2021.

A witness took video of the whole incident as it was unfolding. The woman was seen arguing with a man and later a woman on the porch of the home. Some time later, she was seen setting a trash can on fire in the home's living room.

What was truly shocking was the fact that the woman then took a chair onto the residence's front lawn, sat down, and opened up a book. She read while glancing up at the fire, completely relaxed. What's worse, her female roommate was still inside the home. Luckily, a passerby stopped to help the roommate out as she tried to escape.
