Plenty of pet parents enjoy spoiling their dogs or cats with a few extra treats or a new toy on their birthday, but Maymo's humans really go the extra mile when it comes to celebrating another year of life for their cute pup. You see, while most dogs would be perfectly content with a new tennis ball, Maymo got over a thousand colorful plastic balls in his very own homemade ball pit for his birthday! And now that I've seen how easy it is to make, I'm kind of tempted to do this for my own dog.
Maymo is pretty accustomed to getting spoiled on his big day. Last year, he was the happy recipient of 100 bouncing balls, but this year's gift really upped the fun factor! All they needed to do to create their indoor ball pit was push some furniture together, pull up the sides of their rug, and tape them up if they started to fall down. Then, they just needed a thousand balls and a playful pup, and the greatest doggy birthday present ever was created. I think the last time Maymo was this happy was when he got a Christmas tree made of 200 water bottles for the holidays!
Some people might think that Maymo's parents went a bit overboard for their dog's birthday, but I think this is a great gift! Our dogs are with us for such a short time on Earth, so it's up to us to make their lives as special and happy as possible. And if you ask me, Maymo's family is doing a wonderful job of making sure that this cutie-pie is the happiest dog around.
