Mikayla Ellison is a former BYU graduate and a member of the BYU International Folk Dance team, and she recently got married to a current BYU student named Cody.
But Mikayla, as you're about to see, is not the only musically inclined person in her family.
Her daddy-daughter dance starts out simple and traditional, but moments later, it turns into a choreographed routine for the ages.
In the video below, Mikayla and her doting dad, a.k.a "Nate-daddy," perform an epic daddy-daughter dance that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Filmed by BP Film & Photo of Point Grove, UT, the energetic duo takes the audience through the evolution of dance, featuring hilarious moves like the Hammer Time, the Carlton and the "Bye Bye Bye" dance by 'N Sync.
After Mikayla and Nate destroy the dance floor, the DJ literally says, "Somebody please put this on YouTube. It needs to go viral."
It looks like the DJ is getting his wish, because the video is quickly going viral in a big way. In fact, it's being hailed the best dad-daughter wedding dance ever!
Now, Nate has a message to all the dads out there: "NEVER PASS UP A CHANCE TO DANCE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER!"
He also says this dance was his chance to treat his daughter how she should be treated — as a princess.
