As someone who is totally lost around a needle and thread, I'm always impressed when I see what designers are capable of — especially those burgeoning talents who make all their own clothes by hand.
It's particularly impressive when designers use everyday objects to make their own chic, unique clothing, a la Project Runway. Recently, I was astounded to see the work of Stephanie Miller, a mom who transformed her husband's old shirts into adorable dresses for their young daughters. For Stephanie, transforming oversized men's shirts into dresses for her little girls served as a creative outlet.
But for one young mom named Alexis, designing is a way of life — and a budding business.
Alexis recently took the internet by storm with the incredible matching outfits she designed for herself and her baby daughter. People can't get enough of both the skill and level of transformation the clothes show and how adorable the mommy-daughter modeling pair is.

Alexis is a 19-year-old entrepreneur and mom. According to her website, Lexa'llure, the talented young woman is from Austin.
It was only a few months ago that she discovered her "hidden talent" — designing and sewing. Since then, she's dived headfirst into the world of fashion.
The budding designer has also shared some of her work on her popular Twitter account.
Alexis acts as the model for many of her designs, making outfits primarily for herself.
The Austin mom may have only been designing clothes for a relatively short time, but it's clear that she's naturally talented and knows how to work a sewing machine!
On August 25, 2017, Alexis shared a few of her cutest designs yet: matching outfits that she'd made for herself and her baby daughter.
Needless to say, Twitter users have absolutely freaked out over how adorable these looks are.
Alexis explained in her tweet that she'd taken some old sheets that she had around the house and transformed them.
Looking at these chic outfits, I would never have guessed that they were once bedclothes!

The 19-year-old rocked a matching strapless top and pants set, while her baby wore a cute little off-the-shoulder dress with a tiny matching headband.
The designer's 10,000 followers were incredibly impressed with the beautiful mother-daughter duo and their transformed clothes.
Twitter users couldn't stop gushing about how much they loved the matching pair.
Many others were impressed with Alexis' seemingly effortless sewing skills.
