When parents bring a new baby into the house, they always wonder and slightly worry about what will happen.
If they have other children, there is a big concern about how the older sibling will react to the baby. Will they be upset or excited for this new responsibility?
There is an added worry for parents with animals in the house. There is the old wives' tale that a cat will try to smother a baby in its crib! But most cat lovers know that cats just like to keep warm, and babies are usually very warm.
But this one mom did not have to worry about how her dog would react toward bringing her son home. It was like she had a third parent for this child!
In the video, you can see the little boy lounging on a bed in a pool of blankets. The tiny black dog is keeping watch and making sure the baby is warm.
Using his snout, the dog starts tossing the blanket onto the baby to tuck him in! Not only does he put the blanket on the baby, he then uses his paws to make sure it is nice and snug.
This clearly is not the first time this dog decided to pitch in to help mom and dad. I'm just glad mom managed to get it all on camera! If you love animals who help take care of babies, you'll also like this video of another dog helping out at nap time.
