Mischievous Monkey Steals Tourist’s Camera And Takes Hilarious Selfie

During a recent trip to Bali, two British tourists got an up close and personal experience while feeding a long-tailed macaque.

Lizzy Ware and Ben Holmes visited the Balinese forest to see Ubud's sacred temples where the monkeys live. At one point, they stopped to feed bananas to some of the primates, when one grabbed hold of their GoPro camera. The cheeky and curious macaque started licking the camera and striking poses. Looks like someone was ready for his close-up!

Suddenly, the primate hopped on top of Ware's head, and Ware eventually got her camera back. The couple were quick enough to flip the camera around and capture the one-in-a-lifetime encounter. Just in the nick of time, Ware snapped a great selfie with her new furry friend.

When you get up close to animals, especially at a zoo, you can often capture candid moments when animals are behaving in interesting and funny ways, like this gorilla who played a harmless prank on a couple of zoo workers.

No doubt, that's enough monkeying around for one trip.
