Navy Vet Hears Grandma Screaming Outside Winn-Dixie, Then Sees A Man Forcing Her To The Ground

In 2014, a 76-year-old woman was in the parking lot of a Florida grocery store, Winn-Dixie. Security cameras caught her being attacked in broad daylight by a young purse snatcher — and a trio of heroes rushing to her rescue.

One of these heroes happened to be someone you definitely do not want to mess with.

Kendrick Taylor is a big and strong navy veteran who was in the right place at the right time. He heard the woman scream and saw her being assaulted by the thief while he tried make a getaway on his bicycle. Kendrick ran over and never once considered the dangers. He simply did what he knew was right.

The attacker rode away in fear, but Kendrick caught up with him on foot, threw him to the ground, held him down and called the police.

The suspect, who was already on probation, was charged with robbery and attempted battery on a person 65 or older. Kendrick, on the other hand, received the Medal of Merit from the Orlando Orange County Sheriff’s Office for his courageous deed.

Kendrick doesn't consider himself a hero, though. "What if that was my Grandma?" he said. Sounds like a hero to me.
