Kenya Wildlife Service and Amboseli Trust for Elephants are two amazing organizations on a mission to help preserve and protect the amazing elephants. In Africa, poachers kill elephants for their parts and for sport and this incredible animal could someday face extinction. Thanks to organizations like these ones, elephants are a little safer. In this video, mother elephant Zahava can be seen leaving her 5-day-old calf in a muddy water pit, after believing the baby is stuck forever. What happened to this family next warmed my heart!
The rescuers approach and attempt to lead Zahava back to the mud pit, but the mother elephant is too scared and doesn't understand. The rescuers are able to push the baby elephant out of the swamp pit and reunite her with her mother. The sound of joy that Zahava makes at 3:18 sent such a big chill down my spine. What an amazing reunion!
If you love the amazing elephant and want to help protect this species, please go ahead and SHARE this rescue video with your friends.
