We are, of course, very familiar with the way most mammals are born. Moms carry their babies for a certain number of months, and then give birth to live young.
These births are beautiful to watch, despite how they may look. There's no doubt that these moms, human or animal, struggle throughout their pregnancies and at the moment they give life, but the second that baby comes into the world makes it all worth it.
But other animals don't give birth in the same way, like reptiles, who lay eggs. But do you know how marsupials like kangaroos are born? It's quite the intriguing process, and thanks to some strategically placed cameras, you can check every step of a kangaroo mom's pregnancy. Chances are, you've never seen anything like it.
In this amazing footage, Mom gives birth to an underdeveloped little one. This is completely normal, but the most astounding part has yet to come: The baby must instinctively defy gravity and climb a few inches to get into his mother's pouch. It seems like such a delicate creature would never be able to perform such a feat, but wait until you see what he's capable of. When you see him nine months later, you'll be stunned!
Now watch the entire clip to see this baby develop into an adorable joey!
