Nick Cannon Confirms He’s Expecting His 8th Child, This Time With Model Bre Tiesi

Nick Cannon is growing his family yet again.

The 41-year-old confirmed on his talk show that the gender reveal he was reported to be "hosting" over the weekend was for his upcoming child. Nick was excited to announce that he and model Bre Tiesi are expecting a baby boy.

The news of Nick's latest addition, which will bring him to eight children, comes just under two months since the death of 5-month-old son Zen Cannon, his seventh child.

Nick Cannon was excited to open up about the latest addition to his family on the January 31 episode of The Nick Cannon Show. After discussing news that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting their first child together, he revealed he will soon welcome his eighth child. He shared a photo from the gender reveal, the day prior, as part of his "Pic of the Day" segment.

It is the first child for Bre Tiesi, who divorced former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel in November.

"It's a boy! We found out yesterday," the proud dad shared.

"Everyone knows I have a lot of children. It's never a competition. Each one is special."

Nick also acknowledged that a lot of people are made uncomfortable by the fact he keeps having children. He especially noted how comments that he's being irresponsible or careless have deeply affected him.

"I have been seeking and dealing with therapy," he shared.

Later, Nick took a whiteboard and started jotting down name suggestions for his newest addition, a boy. Miracle, Confetti, Purpose, Immaculate, and Chosen were among the contenders.

The new baby is likely to arrive around the 11th birthday of Nick's oldest kids, twins Monroe and Moroccan, whom he shares with Mariah Carey, in April. He's also dad to 4-year-old Golden "Sagon" and 13-month-old Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell and 7-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa.

Nick explained that he waited to share this news, which he found out before 5-month-old Zen's death in early December, out of respect for Zen's mom, Alyssa Scott.

Nick has been open about his desire to continue growing his family.

"Think about it, you can't be like, 'No I'm done.' Like what if God says, 'No you not,'" he told Entertainment Tonight in September 2021.

"I come from a big family, I have several siblings, being raised in an unorthodox family by my grandparents at times, I've experienced such a wide range of upbringing that I have such a love and passion for kids and family. I want a big family too."

"The Lord has blessed me with what I asked, but ask and you shall receive," he continued.

"But I'm not sitting out here planning it. My therapist says I should be celibate."
