Homecoming is usually a paramount moment in any teen’s life.
The fun, hormone-filled affair is one of the few nights out of the year that students can dress up, dance, and enjoy a fun night with all of their friends.
But when Lisa White found out that her little brother Cody didn’t have any proper attire for the big night, she knew that his first school dance wouldn’t be as amazing without cocktail attire and a corsage.
So she turned to a local Facebook group and asked if anyone would be able to lend him a hand.
In her post, the sweet sister explained that, while she could buy some of what he needed, they both would really appreciate any borrowed clothes.
She also explained that her brother used to not even attend school, so having the perfect homecoming night with his girlfriend was incredibly important.
The siblings were expecting only a few responses, but instead they got an onslaught of kind offers and advice.
Going above and beyond borrowing, complete strangers were kindly offering to buy Cody clothes and other cool accessories to make his night particularly magical.
They ended up meeting up with a woman who offered to take him shopping online.
"[Cody] was more worried that is would be embarrassing or awkward and it wasn't at all. The woman walked in and said 'Let's do this!' She told him, 'You need to look like a king,' and 'That's what every young man deserves' and 'Don't even look at the price.' And he got everything: the shirt, the shoes, the tie, right down to his socks,"White explained to Omaha.com.
Other incredibly kind strangers even bought him a corsage for his date as well as a gift card so they could enjoy dinner before — suffice to say they both likely had an amazing homecoming night!
