Being a single parent is undoubtedly difficult. You are expected to perform all the responsibilities and duties normally expected of two parents, including bringing your kids to school, and making enough money to support your family.
Surely, single parents who get by without the help they want and need hope everyday that their list of tasks and worries don't get any bigger.
But when Danielle Robinson got into an accident that left her car totaled, she was left without a way to get to work and get her children to school or anywhere else in town.
Luckily, local police officer Patrick Moody of the Moline Police Department made himself an important promise that would change the single mom's life forever.
He promised himself that, once a year, he would perform a good deed for someone who wouldn't be able to pay him back. When he saw Danielle's plight, he knew right away that she was the perfect target for his kindness.
He asked a car dealer friend for a favor, and together, they worked out a way they could finance a 2000 Chevy Lumina that they would give to her free of change.
The officer was able to surprise her with it the next day, and her reaction is absolutely priceless! This deserving mom could not be more thrilled by the wonderful gift.
Please SHARE to commend this officer for his actions, and if you think the world would be a better place if every person made a vow just like Officer Moody's!
